hey thanks for the fav. i'm gonna give you some constructive criticism, and if you don't like it then ignore it. i browsed through your gallery and i have to say that this is probably your strongest piece. if you like the light graffiti effect you should look up photos of Picasso's work with light. your model's pose is strong and daring in that she's looking straight at the camera which works for this piece. you broke the rule of art that you're not supposed to center anything, unless for visual impact. try positioning your subject along the third lines of your frame. don't draw anime... anime is the worst thing to draw ever if you want to work as a serious artist. anime proportions are vastly and culturally different from a normal human body. necks, legs, wrists and ankles are elongated and seen as an aspect of beauty. speaking from experience, if you wanna screw up your figure drawing for the rest of your life then stick with anime. otherwise grab a model and draw from life till your hands hurt. anime has roots in early woodcut prints esspecially Edo period.
i highly recommend this site, [link]
this guy has some great image resources and this page specifically deals with Edo Japanese woodcut illustrations of demons/spirits. Spirited Away was definitely influenced by this style. i wish you the best of luck. ^-^

I'm glad you gave me the crit, i really am grateful for someone to give me a good honest opinion.
Most of my gallery is experimental, so I dont expect anything to be perfect yet, and since i'm a student in art, i am still learning about everything. But i'm glad you have said what you did, it's given me something to think about.
The anime stuff was something i had to do for one of my college projects and i put it up on here, because i just wanted to really. I don't actually like anime much, and i certainly wouldn't attempt to draw anything like it again because i have no interest there.
I do alot of life drawing in college, so im developing my work all the time.
I do know about the rule of thirds, and the beholding light image was purely experimental which came out as a really strong image. I have actually seen picasso's light graffiti images which are really good.
Thank you for taking the time to crit my work though, im really grateful :)

your welcome. i'm surprised you didn't jump down my throat... a lot of people out there don't know how to take a crit. I just graduated from MICA so i'm thinking of deleting my work off of my account... or getting rid of it all together. hope to see more from ya
